Precious email update;
Hello everyone! how was your week? I hope every thing is going well for each everyone of you. well my week was a fantastic. reason why because I have a baptism. bad news that I call to transfer to Huntington beach again. bad news because transfer and I was wise wash to that area. it was amazing how much my mission President trust me. he told me that I can do it the wise wash. that area that I'm going to, its kind really lower area, so my mission President asked me to going there and try my best to make that area to growth more. its funny because I have 1 transfer left, on my mission. so this is the truth, every single areas that I serving in, before I getting transfer, I always have baptism before I leaving the area, so that's why my mission president asked me to wise wash to there and do every thing I can for the last 12 weeks left. I love you all, keep it up the great work, I love my mission. mission its greatest thing that I ever did in my entire life. have a wonderful week and look forward to hear from each everyone of you.

A little update on Elder Brandy Henry. He has served an honorable mission. It has fun to follow his growth in the gospel as well as his physical maturity. Can you believe how much his English has improved speaking, writing and teaching? We were hoping to have Elder Henry come stay with us after his mission however it is a requirement that he returns to his home ward. He will return to Chuuk, attend college, pass the needed test and then he can return to the states and attend BYU.  We look forward to helping him as much as possible and ask that you please be mindful of him in your prayers.

President and Sister Mecham returned with honor

Welcome Home President and Sister Mecham.  We are happy to see them but know how sad it is to leave the people you have grown to love in the MGM mission.  Sister Mecham gave her report first. She told us a story of a lady named Francisca and how staying the course is so important.  She said that Fransica was taking the missionary discussions but when it came time for baptism the missionaries told her she needed to either get married or move out from her common law spouse. Her common law spouse wanted nothing to do with the gospel.  He also couldn't see the importance of marriage which is common practice on the islands.  So she decided to move out, doing so she had to leave the kids.   Which is also custom, the father and his family get the kids. She felt it was going to be very hard but she knew if she stayed the course and have faith, that everything would work out.  She continued to get prepared to be baptized.  This lady had a lot of faith.  One day she found out that her husbands sisters, who were caring for the kids had also taken missionary lessons and was baptized on the other side of the island. Wow! Faith and Staying the Course is key.
President and Sister Mecham's Homecoming

President Mecham spoke next. He challenged all missionaries to continue to read the Book of Mormon and told us that if we were obedient to the teachings and revelations we would experience miracles every day whether we were on our missions or at home. God is good, Obedience brings blessings, Strict obedience brings miracles! Senior missionaries are a great help. Currently 16 missionaries are serving a mission from Micronesia. Every child is important. Gods children in the tiny islands in the middle of the Pacific are important. The church is true. Heavenly Father is involved in the details
We need the gospel now more that ever in order to have true happiness. In Isaiah 29 it reads of a marvelous work and a wonder. The Book of Mormon is the foundation for restoration.
1 Nephi 14:30. He went on to say you have to be bold in teaching and sharing the gospel. He said that these amazing missionaries are disturbers and an annoyance to Satans plan of misery. To Gods plan plan of happiness. Simple things extraordinary results.
He explained how he asked the elders to invite everyone to be baptized in the first lesson. He said everyone needs the blessing of the gospel now, no reason to wait. Hasten the work was the mission theme.  During March to June 2013 the missionary force doubled. Behind every number is a face, a child of God that needs the gospel now. Currently, 221 missionaries and 30 couples are serving MGM. He said he saw many, many miracles, had great spirit prompts and knew he needed to act promptly and quickly. The Spirit is powerful. 18-19 year old missionaries are goofy kids, but powerful teachers.
He told us all to Jump and you will soar.  Let it go, exercise faith. Our duty is to invite, don't be impolite, invite. Get uncomfortable. This is the true church of Jesus Christ.  It would be great to hear from them once a month to keep us motivated. We truly enjoyed serving with this beautiful couple and love them with all our hearts. It has been a true blessing in our lifes.

Come to the Temple

We are so very happy to share this post with you.  It has been a long wait for this group and a lot of preparation has been done for this day to come.  They have all overcome obstacles and now the time has come for them to be sealed as families for Time and All Eternity. In the Temple, members of the Church who make themselves eligible, can participate in the most exalted of the redeeming ordinances that have been revealed to mankind. A family can live together through eternity together and be as one like they are here on earth.
The ordinances and ceremonies of the temple are simple. They are beautiful. They are sacred.
They are kept confidential lest they be given to those who are unprepared. Curiosity is not a preparation. Deep interest itself is not a preparation. Preparation for the ordinances includes preliminary steps: faith, repentance, baptism, confirmation, worthiness, a maturity and dignity worthy of one who comes invited as a guest into the house of the Lord.
We must be prepared before we go to the temple. We must be worthy before we go to the temple.
There are restrictions and conditions set. They were established by the Lord and not by man. And, the Lord has every right and authority to direct the matters relating to the Temple be kept sacred and confidential.
We are naturally anxious about the unknown. We often become nervous over new experiences.
Be at peace. You are going to the Temple. You will have someone to assist you at every turn. You will be carefully guided—be at peace.
“Come to the Temple.” If not now, come soon. Pray fervently, set your lives in order, save whatever you can in hopes that that day may come. Start now, a sometimes very difficult and discouraging journey of repentance. The Temple transforms the individual and makes abundantly worthwhile any efforts made to get there. Keep your faith and your hope and determine that you will come that you will be worthy and that you will come to the Temple.  So come to the Temple, come and claim your blessings. It is a sacred work.
Thank You Freddy Nicerio for the pictures that you posted so we could repost them here.
